Biwin Black Opal NV3500 M.2 SSD offers read speed up to 3500 MB/s and write speed up to 3000 MB/s. NV3500 features PCIe Gen 3×4 interface and supports NVMe 1.4. With up to 2 TB available, Black Opal NV3500 uses a heat-dissipating graphene pad and a temperature control algorithm to ensure the SSD operates at its best. The single-sided design fits in desktops and laptops.

Saturating the PCIe 3.0 Interface

Built to extract the absolute maximum bandwidth from the PCIe Gen3 standard, the NV3500 delivers up to 3,500 MB/s sequential reads and 2,500 MB/s sequential writes. This allows for rapid operating system boot times, faster application loading, and smooth file transfers. For users upgrading from SATA solid state drives or mechanical hard drives, the NVMe 1.4 protocol significantly reduces latency by communicating directly with the CPU over four PCIe lanes.

Smart Architecture with Host Memory Buffer

The drive utilises 3D TLC NAND flash memory, which balances high data density with sustained write performance. To maintain fast data access without the cost and power draw of a dedicated onboard DRAM chip, the NV3500 supports Host Memory Buffer (HMB) technology. HMB allows the SSD to borrow a small, dedicated portion of the system's main RAM to cache the flash translation layer (FTL). This ensures the drive can quickly locate stored data, keeping performance consistent during heavy multitasking or large file transfers.

Graphene Cooling and Low-Power Efficiency

Thermal management is handled by a factory-applied graphene thermal pad. Graphene's exceptionally high thermal conductivity pulls heat away from the controller and NAND packages, preventing thermal throttling during sustained write operations. This low-profile cooling solution ensures the drive fits easily into cramped laptop chassis or tightly packed desktop motherboards. Additionally, the NV3500 is highly power-efficient, drawing less than 4 mW when in the L1.2 low-power standby state.
